Ang TANGLAW sa Kagandahang Asal at Wastong Pag-uugali ay serye ng mga aklat-pampaaralan sa Good Manners and Right Conduct (GMRC) para sa mga mag-aaral sa elementarya.

Ang bawat aklat sa serye ay sumusunod sa mga pangunahing layunin at pamantayan ng programa ng Batayang Edukasyon ng K to 12 ayon sa Republic Act. No. 11476, o ang GMRC at Values Education Act, na naglalayong mapalaganap ang pag-unawa sa tama at mabuting asal, pati na rin ang pagpapahalaga sa mga itinakda ng kultura at lipunang Pilipino.

Layon ng serye ang pagtuturo sa mga mag-aaral ng kaalaman, pag-unawa, at kasanayan sa pagpapasiya at pagpapamalas ng mga birtud (virtues) sa pamamagitan ng mga aralin at gawaing nagpapalakas ng kanilang karakter. Hangad ng serye na magabayan sila na makagawa ng mga pasiyang etikal at moral, at tulungan silang maisakatuparan ang kanilang misyon sa buhay bilang mga mamamayang Pilipino na nagtataguyod ng katotohanan, kapayapaan, katarungan, at pagmamahal sa kapuwa.

Ipinalalaganap ng serye ang anim na pangunahing kasanayan (macro skills)—pag-unawa, pagninilay, pagsangguni, pagpapasiya, pagkilos, at pagsasabuhay—upang magampanan ng mga mag-aaral ang mga pamantayang itinakda para sa kanilang paglago at pagpapakabuti bilang mga mamamayan.

Mastering all reading skills is of utmost importance because it is not only in the Reading subject that we use these, but in all learning areas and other facets of life as well.

The reality of individual differences is also something we cannot take for granted, so that it is a necessity that we provide for the needs of heterogeneous groups. Still, we cannot sacrifice the interest of learners in the type of selections we offer them.

We believe that if learners are made to read interesting materials, learning becomes fun and the skills they get stay with them longer. With that in mind, the authors have decided to include selections that—are very interesting, teach values, clearly develop the skills required by the curriculum guide, will inspire the learners to enhance their learning capacity, and will give them a positive outlook in life.

Because education is a continuous process. We continue to learn as we travel in life. Let us grab the opportunity to help develop and lead the minds of children entrusted to us, by serving as examples and helping them become better citizens. In the end, we, will receive the reward God offers to those who will lead “the little ones” to Him.

Language Experience is a carefully designed set of learning materials in elementary. It aims to empower the learners in communicating ideas.

Confidence is gained through clear understanding of the different language forms and sufficient exercises within their experience that are provided after each lesson.

This self-appreciation gives the learners the power to use, explore, and enrich the skills learned in oral and written works.

With the teacher’s persistence and skillful guidance, coupled with the parents’ active concern and participation, the learners will positively gain the power to communicate effectively.

 

Ang EDUKASYONG PANTAHANAN AT PANGKABUHAYAN (Dynamic Series in HELE) ay batay sa K to 12 Basic Education Curriculum na itinakda ng Department of Education upang linangin ang kaalaman at mga kasanayan ng mga mag-aaral sa mga larangan ng Entrepreneurship, Information and Communications Technology (ICT), Agrikultura, Edukasyong Pantahanan (Home Economics), at Industrial Arts. Isinama sa seryeng ito ang entrepreneurship sa lahat ng bahagi ng Home Economics and Livelihood Education. Nialayon din ng seryeng ito na palakasin ang mabuting relasyon sa loob ng pamilya, komunidad, at bansa.

 

Ang mga aralin at mga aktibidad sa bawat aklat ay nakabatay sa mga konsepto, proseso, at kaugaliang kinakailangan para umunlad ang kakayahang teknolohikal at kasanayang pang-entrepreneurial ng mga mag-aaral. Idinisenyo ang mga ito upang tiyakin ang mabisang pagkatuto sa pamamagitan ng aktibong pakikilahok at nagsama rin ng mga proyektong kaakit-akit para sa mga mag -aaral upang iparamdam sa kanila ang diwa ng entrepreneurial at himukin silang makapagtayo ng kanilang sariling mga Negosyo upang maging produktibo at responsableng indibidwal, miyembro ng pamilya, at mamayang Pilipino.

       Aligned with the competencies derived from the Enhanced K to 12 Basic Education Curriculum of the Department of Education, the new New Dynamic Series in English has as its primary goal the integration of the reading and grammar skills. It has been designed to develop, enhance, and enrich the five macro skills, namely Listening, Speaking, Reading, Writing, and Viewing, thus making the learners grow into competent English communicators and dedicated lifelong learners.

     All the lessons and activities in each book in the series are aimed at empowering the child to learn, lead, and create with technology, equipping him/her with skills essential for his/her academic success, gainful employment, and global competitiveness. Through the variety of stories and other literary pieces that are used as springboards for each lesson in the series, it is hoped that the child will develop a desirable attitude towards himself/herself, his/her home, and his/her environment, and subsequently recognize and appreciate his/her national identity hat would reinforce positive values and attitudes every Filipino child must uphold.

JOURNEYS is a worktext series designed with the ultimate goal in mind: to let learners apply the language conventions, principles, strategies, and skills in interacting with others, equipping them in whatever field of endeavor they may engage in. Each lessen is learner-centered, following a seamless and integrated approach, where morals and themes are carried from motivational situations and questions on lesson openers, processed and highlighted through discussions and examples of learning competencies, literary pieces, and comprehension questions and activities, and challenged in exercises across different content areas.

As making meaning is the heart of language learning and use, the learning tasks and activities of the books in the series are designed in such a way that learners will have time to reflect on and respond to ideas and information, and that they are provided with sufficient scaffolding enabling them to reach their full cognitive, affective, and psychomotor potentials, and become independent and confident individuals.

The Dynamic Series in MAPEH elementary series adopts the principles embodied in the Department of Education's prescribed K to 12 Basic Education Curriculum that focuses on the learner as a recipient of the knowledge, skills, and values necessary for artistic expression and cultural literacy. Lessons and activities in eacn book are student-centered and are based on a spiral progression of processes, concepts, a skills and grounded in performance-based learning. The books, particularly Music and Art, are designed to ensure effective learning through active participation and performance, creative expression, aesthetic valuation, critical response, and interpretation. The skills that the books aim to develop include reading/analyzing, listening/observing, performing, responding, composing, and creating.

Lessons and activities in Physical Education (PE) support the "Move to learn" principle as the context of physical activity which is viewed as the means for learning, and the "Learn to move" principle that embodies the learning of skills and techniques and the acquisition of understanding that are requisites to participation in a variety of physical activities that include exercise, games, sports, dance, and recreation. The PE books fully implement the concept that fitness and movement education is the core of the K to 12 PE Curriculum.

Finally, lessons and activities in Health focus on the physical, mental, emotional as well as the social, moral, and spiritual dimensions of holistic health. They teach the learners to acquire essential knowledge, attitudes, and skills that are necessary to promote good nutrition, to prevent and control diseases, to prevent substance abuse, to reduce health-related risk behaviors, and to prevent and control injuries with the end-view of maintaining and improving personal, family, community, as well as global health. Whenever possible, develop mentally appropriate, learner-centered teaching approaches are used to teach the lessons in Health Education.

The Dynamic Series in HELE corresponds to the K to 12 Basic Education Curriculum prescribed by the Department if Education to develop the knowledge and skills of the learners in the fields of entrepreneurship, information and communications technology, agriculture, home economics, and industrial arts. This series integrates entrepreneurship with all the areas of Home Economics and Livelihood Education. The series also aims to strengthen a wholesome relationship within the family, the community, and the nation.

The lessons and activities in each book are grounded on the concepts, processes, and values necessary for the development of the technological proficiency and entrepreneurial skills of the learners. They are designed to ensure effective learning through active participation and includes projects that will engage the learners and imbibe in them an entrepreneurial spirit to encourage them to put up their own businesses and become productive and responsible individuals, family members, and filipino citizens.

BootCamp is a computer series for Grades 1 to 6 learners. The topics in each book are presented using a progressive approach from the most basic to more complicated concepts matching the learners’ readiness while also testing their capability to take on more challenging tasks. This method also ensures that computer proficiency is enhanced on each stage as necessary for application in their other school subjects where the use of computer may be needed, such as for calculations in Math, for creative works in Art, and for research in others.

The series is carefully divided into two categories: the Primary Boot Camp focusing on introduction to the computer and use of applications and the Web, and the Intermediate Boot Camp with more in-depth discussions of applications, digital media, social media, as well as productive and responsible use of the Web. All books are designed to develop the learners’ critical and creative thinking through lessons with clear set objectives and activities that range from conceptual, practical, and situational.

Samantala, isinaalang-alang din sa paghahanda ng bawat level ng serye ang layuning maging katuwang ng mga kapuwa gurong nagtuturo ng Filipino sa pagpupunla ng pundasyon at pagpapayabong ng mga kaalaman, kasanayan, at pagpapahalagang magagamit nang marapat ng isang bata para maging mahalagang bahagi ng kaniyang pamilya, ng lipunang kinabibilangan, at ng Inang Bayan.

Ang pinagyamang edisyon ng Binhi: Wika at Pagbasa ay alinsunod sa pinakabagong K to 12 Gabay Pangkurikulum at Ortograpiyang Pambansa ng Komisyon sa Wikang Filipino. Sa pagbabalangkas nito, unang isinaalang-alang ang mga bagong kalakaran para masinop na mailakip ang dagdag na mga kaalaman at kasanayan sa kabuuan ng bawat level ng serye. Pinanatili ang spiral approach sa dahilang ito ang pinakamabisang pagdulog para sa mga batang mag-aaral sa elementarya na nagsisimula pa lamang sa pagkatuto ng mga aralin sa wika at mga kasanayan sa pagbasa. Tiniyak din na ang mga kasanayan sa pakikinig, pagsasalita, pagbasa, pagsulat, at panonood ay malilinang sa iba’t ibang bahagi ng aklat.

Bagaman ang pangunahing layon sa pagbuo ng seryeng ito ay maging instrumento sa pagkatuto ng mga batang mag-aaral, isinaisip din ng mga may-akda na maging abot-kamay sa mga kaguro ang mga kabatiran at maraming pagsasanay na agarang magagamit sa paghahanda at pagsasakatuparan ng pagtuturo. Makatutulong din sa pagpapagaan ng paghahanda ang paggamit ng Gabay sa Pagtuturo kung saan nakalakip ang mga mungkahing gawain sa pagtuturo ng pinagsanib na wika at pagbasa at ang mga gabay sa pagwawasto ng mga pagsasanay.

Taos ang pag-asa na ang pinagyamang edisyon ng Binhi: Wika at Pagbasa ay makatutulong sa paglinang ng isang buo at ganap na Pilipinong may kapaki-pakinabang na literasi na magagamit sa pagtatamo ng isang matiwasay at magandang kinabukasan. Purihin ang Panginoon!
