MAKABANSA Series (English Version) (1-3)

The series of books in MAKABANSA for Grades 1, 2, and 3 is based on the MATATAG Curriculum. MAKABANSA is the newly coined learning area for learners in Key Stage 1 covering Grades 1, 2, and 3. It is a transdisciplinary curriculum wherein its scope covers Civics, Arts, Culture, History, and Physical & Health Education.

The new Makabansa learning area will mold the knowledge, skills, and attitudes of learners that they will need in building oneself and cultural awareness.

The series aims to develop active, healthy, and creative learners through developing critical skills based on deeper understanding of Civics, Arts, Culture, History and Physical & Health Education.

In general, values related to one’s identity, creativity, health, and interaction with fellowmen and other aspects of the society will lead the learners in being holistic Filipinos equipped with the 21^st century skills.
